I was reading over at Hall of Fame Mom’s when I ran across this lucky find
Mighty Book Jr is giving away free subscriptions for a year ($99 value). All you have to do is enter the code “learntoread”
It’s an online reading program (I know nothing about it, yet ) and it’s for ages 5-10. I do know it reads animated books to them, which is always helpful for busy moms! And it’s for English, Spanish, ESL, and Special Needs students.
Get your free subscription now because I don’t know how long it’s going to last.

It looks wonderful. I just signed up for it and I think my kids are going to love it. Thank you for sharing.
Hey Marie,
I saw this offer on FB, and was quick to take advantage of it, too. I just wanted to let you know, though, that we listened to a bunch of the stories today, and while some are GREAT, not all are. My seven year old daughter voluntarily closed several of them after a few pages saying, "That's not nice," or "I don't like the way they are talking." Since she was able to do that, I am okay with her using it with me in the room, but just be cautious about letting your kids run free with it (some of it is poor attitudes or just plain ridiculous behavior that's simply not what I want to encourage.)
Just a thought for you. There's always good and bad in every deal, eh?
Oh, you might want to check out our local library's page. They currently have a grant to Tumblebooks, which I find is even better than this other site...check out the link to Tumblebooks and some other online books at my kids' school blog here: http://blessing-farm-three-amigos.blogspot.com/

Its for ages as young as 2 yrs old as well! And there are songs too. I spent a little time looking at the site for my boys (4 & 6 yrs old). Not a bad deal for FREE.
Thank you for reading my blog and linking to me!
Hi Marie,
I was glad to hear from you. I am glad you did not mind the heads up on the occassional content issues...I figured that a mom would want to know because I would. My kids do like a lot of the books that are available there; just a few not so much.
About the TumbleBooks site...if you access it through my kids' blog using our library link, then scroll down on the library children's services page to get there, you should have no problem entering the site. Our library has a grant for the site this year, and if you wind up liking the site, they'd love a positive comment about it. However, if you try to "favorite" the Tumblebooks site from their homepage and go back later, it will not work. So favorite my kids' blog, or our library homepage instead and get to it from there.
My kids spent an hour listening to books today online while my folks babysat today, and I know my folks were so happy to have the "help"...
Blessings,
Heather
Thanks for becoming my new follower(s) and for this link. I certainly do prefer my daughter having a book in her hand, but sometimes she likes to get on the computer and she'll enjoy these.
